Kwitsy vs Splitwise: free and unlimited, no daily cap
Splitwise's free plan lets you add 4 expenses a day and shows ads; Splitwise Pro removes both, for a subscription. Kwitsy has no daily cap and no ads, and the things Splitwise keeps for Pro (most receipt scanning, currency conversion, charts) are free.

When Splitwise may suit you better
- Everyone in your group already uses it and nobody minds the daily limit, or you're happy to pay for Pro.
- You want a native iPhone app from the App Store. Kwitsy works on iPhone from the home screen (added from Safari), not the App Store.
- You want an app in a language Kwitsy doesn't have yet: Kwitsy has six (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Hindi).
Moving a group across
Export the group from Splitwise as a spreadsheet, import it into Kwitsy, and share the invite link so friends claim their names. Every expense and person comes across, with the same balances, and your Splitwise group stays as it was. Step by step: moving a group from Splitwise. Leaving later? Export any group as a spreadsheet, or in the same layout Splitwise exports, which apps with a Splitwise importer can read.
